The 2nd Safety Training for ASEAN Engineering Students will be held in conjunction with the 44th Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (CAFEO 44) in Bandung, Indonesia.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the program is designed to equip future ASEAN engineers with essential knowledge, practical skills, and a strong professional commitment to safety. Through expert-led sessions, practical learning, project assignments, and industry exposure, participants will strengthen their ability to identify hazards, assess risks, prevent accidents, and make responsible decisions in engineering practice.
The program also provides a platform for engineering students from across ASEAN to exchange perspectives, build regional networks, and develop a shared safety culture that can be applied within their universities, future workplaces, and communities.
| Date | : | 18–20 October 2026 |
| Venue | : | Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia |
| Participants | : | 40 engineering students from ASEAN countries |
| Eligibility | : | Minimum third-year engineering students with proficiency in English |
The training aims to increase students’ awareness of hazards and accidents in engineering work, strengthen their understanding of safety regulations and standards, and empower them to become advocates for safety in their respective environments.
Technical visits are planned for 20 October 2026 as part of the Safety Training for ASEAN Engineering Students program. These visits will offer participants an opportunity to observe how engineering safety principles are applied in workplace settings.
They aim to connect knowledge gained during the training sessions with practical examples from industry. The proposed destinations are PT KAI and PT LEN. Both sites are tentative and subject to final confirmation.
More than a technical training program, this initiative brings together the next generation of engineers from across ASEAN. Participants will have opportunities to collaborate on projects, share experiences, establish professional connections, and promote a common commitment to safer and more responsible engineering practices.
Together, we are preparing future engineers who design responsibly, work safely, and contribute to a safer and more resilient ASEAN.
The program is organized by the Institution of Engineers, Indonesia (Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia – PII), with the organizing committee comprising representatives from PII, LAM Teknik, and Parahyangan Catholic University.
